How can sexuality lead to slavery?
How does our society treat the victims of human trafficking?
What is freedom and what is exploitation? Where do we draw the line?
What can our reaction as Christian students be?
Are you willing to take a risk to be in solidarity with the victims?
Human trafficking is the second biggest and the fastest growing sort of organised crime. Each year, much more than 100,000 women, men and children are trafficked in Europe and billions of Euros are made of the forced labour of these victims of human trafficking. Yet there is still little awareness on the topic.
Therefore let’s investigate answers and find more questions! Join students from across Europe under the shade of the beautiful Austrian Alps for six days!
We will discuss topics including:
  • Sexuality and society
  • Forced labour
  • Sex trafficking around Europe
  • Prostitution and legality
  • Our responsibility
Through lectures, bible study, an excursion, workshops and story-telling we will approach the sensitive and diverse theme of human trafficking in Europe. We will learn more about the scale of the problem and its different forms in different regions in Europe. Further, we will meet with members of local charity organisations and victims of human trafficking, to understand the topic as a concrete experience.
During the conference we will create a campaign to raise awareness among our local communities and officials.  The programme will also allow to experience and integrate the information learnt with innovative techniques like walking meditation and biblio-drama.
Students from all faith backgrounds are welcome to join our conference. There will be Christian prayer and worship each day that everyone is welcome to participate in as they feel comfortable. Check the draft agenda of the conference!
Deadline for applications is PROLONGED till 27 September!
